Prime Warden: Ben Laurie
Ben Laurie is delighted to have the opportunity to serve the Company as Prime Warden for 2024/25.
Ben will continue to build on the legacy of recent Prime Wardens.
Bio
Son of Past Master Robert Laurie. After leaving school Ben went to the Royal Agricultural College, followed by a time with Stockbrokers Heseltine Moss & Co., this ended when he joined the family farming partnership (Heatleys’ Farms) in Essex. He then moved to Australia. There he was employed managing farms for Diversified Agriculture Australia Ltd. (DATA). Farming Ostriches and importing frozen Wagyu embryos for implanting into Angus Friesian Cross heifers. On return from Australia, he had a Bloodstock Insurance Agency. Married, Clare Marian Woodhouse, they live in Suffolk surrounded by dogs and horses.
Made Free in 1981 became a Liveryman in 1983.
