As part of the Prime Warden Hugh Taylor’s theme for the year, Saddlers Hall was the venue for 3 insightful and entertaining Lectures on Entrepreneurship.
Moderated by Dr Miranda Lewis from Bayes Business School Academic; Ellie Kelly, owner of Studfast, Nikki Newcombe owner of Bliss of London and Mark Huxley, Master of the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs presented their journeys of founding and managing their businesses, whilst sharing lessons they’ve learnt in the commercial world.
The large audience was treated to authentic stories of successes and pitfalls, whilst being encouraged to explore any entrepreneurship visions of their own. Students from both Alleyn’s School and City, University of London were part of the audience, putting some inspired questions to the panel.
Key messages included; the importance of mentors, good communication, finance, passion and finding solutions.
