A group of Saddlers were privileged to join Caroline Neveu and the team at the St Georges Hospital Paramedic Training Centre to understand what those on the BSc in Paramedic Sciences have to learn during their 3 year graduate programmes. The facility includes a skills lab, fully equipped ambulance boxes, simulated home environments, and an “immersion room” with technology to recreate various scenarios.
City, University of London and St George’s, University of London merged on 1 August 2024 and are now known as City St George’s, University of London. The voluntary merger has enabled City St Georges to become one of the largest higher education destinations for London students, and a powerful multi-faculty institution with a distinctive focus on professional education and research at the frontier of practice.
The Saddlers’ Company set up what was then known as the Northampton Institute in 1894 alongside the City of London Corporation to provide for ‘…..the industrial skill, general knowledge, health and well being of young men and women’. The Company has continued to provide support for students at the University every years since it was established and Members are rightly proud of the close ongoing relationship.
