The origins of the Lord Mayor’s Show date back to 1215, when King John gave the people of London the authority to choose their mayor. This year, the University chose a magnificent red London Bus as their float.
Founded in 1894 as the Northampton Institute by The City of London Corporation, The Skinners’ Company and The Saddlers’ Company, it went on to became a university when The City University was created by royal charter in 1966.
