During the Covid Lockdown, the Livery Companies of the City of London supported people working in the NHS and those facing food poverty across London through the Livery Kitchens Initiative. This has now grown in to an important partnership with City Harvest to rescue food that is going to waste and delivering it to over 350 charities across London. Last year some 1.2 million meals were delivered to those facing food poverty and this year the target is 2 million. By uniting together and supporting more vans for City Harvest, the London Liveries have raised some £150,000 to make a real difference for people in need.
