The Saddlers’ Company recently played host to a City, University of London Entrepreneurship and Employability event where 12 outstanding ‘posters’ were examined avidly by students, staff and mentors. Each ‘poster’ covered a particular area of interest to the student or students that had prepared it. We were also joined by staff from the City of London Small Business Research and Enterprise Centre.
A panel of business leaders and academics then took questions about how to get started in business and ‘top tips’ when begining a career.
After much deliberation, the Prime Warden Hugh Taylor and Vice President of City, University of London Dr Sionade Robinson were pleased to award a cheque for £1000 to the winner Leo Salem. Leo is a Year 2 Undergraduate studying International Politics. His fascinating project was entitled ‘Bridging Academia and Employment: Implementing City’s 2030 Vision Through Career Focus Modules’. The funds will be put to support his entrepreneurial journey.
