Georgia Bartlett won the Saddler's Company Prize for Best Under 25 Finisher at Badminton Horse Trials and put the award towards a full saddle fit check and two Fairfax bridles for her horse, Nona.
Georgia's win of the Saddler's Company Prize continues the Company's long-standing support for younger, unsponsored competitors at Badminton Horse Trials, one of the most demanding fixtures in the British eventing calendar. Rather than banking the award, Georgia chose to reinvest it directly in her horse's welfare and performance, arranging a full saddle fit check alongside two fabulous Fairfax bridles fitted specifically to achieve optimum comfort for Nona.
The choice reflects exactly what the Company hopes competitors will do with its prizes: use them to support properly fitted, well-made equipment rather than simply as prize money, in line with the Company's wider work through the Equine Fitters Council and Directory to promote qualified, trustworthy fitting across the sport.
Many congratulations were extended to Georgia and Nona, along with good luck for the competitions ahead. The result adds to a strong recent run of young British riders recognised through the Company's Badminton prize, following Alice Casburn's win presented by Prime Warden Ben Laurie.
She put the Saddler's Company Prize for Best Under 25 Finisher towards a full saddle fit check and two Fairfax bridles fitted for her horse, Nona.
It is an award presented at Badminton Horse Trials to the highest ranked under-25 British finisher, part of the Company's wider equestrian prize fund.
