## A Route into Racing for Young People

The scheme offers pupils aged 14 to 16 the opportunity for day release from school, or home learning one day a week, in order to learn to become a racing jockey. The successful graduates were joined by family, friends and staff to celebrate their achievements, with all of them securing employment in the equestrian sector or continuing their education in school or college.

The Saddlers' Company Charitable Fund has backed the programme for seven years, part of the Company's wider support for pathways into equestrian careers alongside its work with the Pony Club, Riding for the Disabled and equine research bodies.
